UI Software Developer

Location: Brighton, Falmer office

Employment Terms: Contract

Hours: 40 hours per week, minimum 3 days in the office

Rate: Market rate. Dependant on experience

We are looking for a contract software developer to join our team based from our offices in Falmer, Brighton. Our ideal candidate will be degree educated and be comfortable delivering structured, documented and tested code to a regular sprint rhythm.

Working as a part of our development team comprising core software engineers, 3D developers, machine learning specialists, electronics & firmware engineers, the role will initially focus on the creation of the UI for our Windows-based emotion-sensing solution, to provide data visualisation and user interaction to our core Machine Learning recognition and analysis.

To maintain platform independence and support ongoing and future large-scale cloud developments we wish to implement the UI & visualisations using a cross-platform framework based on Javascript, HTML & CSS.

Must have:

  •    HTML & CSS

  • Desktop application development in node.js

  • Charting real-time data in javascript, preferably using D3.js

  • Structured, quality approach

  • Team-oriented and strong communicator

Great to have:

  • Electron experience

  • PHP/Laravel

  • C++, C#
